Fashion Tech Musee McCord Central District

F.A.T. Snaps | Week 13 | DCMTL Blog

Welcome to F.A.T. Snaps, a weekly summary of fashion, art and tech-related events we’ve attended, and other random musings in and around Central District and Greater Montreal.

Another week, another round of discovery! Here’s what our Week 13 looked like.

Fashion Tech Night at the Musée McCord

It was a night of discovery for Montrealers eager to learn more about the intermixing of fashion, art and technology. This crossroads of fashion and technology included several exhibits displaying a perfect mix of functional, futuristic style

This wearable tech-heavy event included bracelets by Central District-based PIXMOB, where each visitor was able to connect and swap contact information with people the chose to ‘click’ with via their bracelets. Not a bad alternative to swapping business cards if you ask us!

Women Techmakers Montreal

The annual tech conference took place over the weekend and our awesome contributor is drafting something up as we speak! Stay tuned for her summary article later this week!

The 2017 JUNO Awards

The Nation’s Capital hosted Canada’s biggest night week in music. Hon. Melanie Joly and Prime Minister Trudeau were present to show their support for Canadian artists and the music industry. We are currently working on a few articles to summarize our experiences, so be sure to keep an eye out for our “JUNOs for beginners” post with a more in-depth look at DCMTL’s experience at the JUNOs.
