Dr. Jane Goodall – founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace – will be presenting her Keynote speech Seeds of Hope at the 2016 YWVA International Conference on Sustainable Veterinary Practice – an event targeted to young Veterinary professionals. YWVA Conference begins at 9 am in Old Montreal, and will follow with a book signing session (until 1:00pm).
While the event will be just a portion of the full-day conference event, tickets may be purchased separately for the Jane Goodall keynote. The timing could not have been better, given the current status of the City’s position on the BSL bylaw. We are curious to see if Jane will have any words of wisdom to share with us and her point of view on this issue. The City has been under fire – now internationally – for the controversial (and confusing) bylaw.
This innovative conference, hosted by Radio-Canada personality Sébastien Kfoury, will feature short and dynamic presentations from twenty industry leaders. Students will come together with veterinarians, captains of the industry and public personalities from across the country to take part in paving the way for a sustainable veterinary practice. Veterinarians are a cornerstone in our society, connected to public health, wildlife conservation, food production, and are devoted to the health of our four legged companions.
“To be young at heart, is to have the will to change for the better, and not to be afraid of doing things differently.” – Hélène Ringuet, President of Honor and Director of Communications, CDMV
